Fernando Almeida

Before starting to care for patients in his private clinic, Prof. Dr. Fernando Almeida dedicated himself to teaching, research and training in urology. Thus, after completing his medical residency and obtaining the title of Specialist in Urology (1999), he began and completed his doctorate in the same field (2001). He then moved to Los Angeles, where he did post-doctoral work (2003) at UCLA. On his return to Brazil, he began working at the Escola Paulista de Medicina (EPM-UNIFESP), where he took the exam to receive the title of Full Professor (2008) and is currently head of the urology discipline. Passionate about surgery and teaching, over almost two decades he has been involved in the clinical, surgical and scientific training of young urologists and in the clinical and surgical treatment of thousands of patients.
