Renata Areza Fegyveres

Holds a medical degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (completed 1999). Completed Medical Residency in Neurology at UNESP (2002) and Specialization in Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology at USP (2003). Worked as a collaborating neurologist and researcher at the Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology Group and the Cognitive Disorders Reference Center of the Hospital das Clínicas at USP from 2003 to 2015. In 2015, moved to the Cognitive Rehabilitation Clinic for Traumatic Brain Injury (ARCO), a topic she always followed in her studies with boxers. Taught several classes on dementias and cognitive aspects to undergraduate students and neurology residents at Hospital das Clínicas at USP and outside the institution, as well as classes in courses and conferences. Emphasis on cognitive deficits secondary to clinical, occupational, and degenerative diseases. Currently involved in clinical research on traumatic brain injury in athletes, especially soccer players and boxers.
